
Koci Returns to Nailers

WHEELING, WV â The Wheeling Nailers announce today that David Koci has been reassigned to the Nailers from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. Koci will be with the Nailers tonight when the team travels to Dayton.
Koci has appeared in 17 games for the Nailers this season without registering a point. He has accumulated 32 penalty minutes and is even in the +/- category. Koci has been playing in the AHL since he was recalled on December 9.
In the AHL this season, Koci has played in six games without registering a point and has two penalty minutes while playing even in the +/- category.
With the addition of Koci, the Nailers now have 20 players on their active roster.
"We are coming off a big home win on New Year's Eve and hope we can string several wins together to start the second half of the season," said Nailers head coach John Brophy. "We have also been playing pretty well defensively and adding Koci will make us that much more physical. This is an important month for our team and Koci will certainly help."
The Nailers home game on Friday, January 3 against the Cincinnati Cyclones had been moved to a 6:35p.m. start time. The time change was made due to the NCAA College Football Championship Game the same night. Call the Nailers office at 234-4625 or toll free at 1-877-NAIL-TIX for ticket information.
