
Condors and Subway Promotion Underway

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors of the West Coast Hockey League are teaming up with local area Subway locations to hold a contest for the game on February 22nd against the Long Beach Ice Dogs.
The promotion is giving fans the opportunity to win a party in a VIP Suite at the game, along with nine friends. Subway's celebrated dieter and television pitchman Jared Fogel will be in town for the game and join the winners in the suite for the night. Subway, Pepsi, and Frito Lay will cater the suite as well.
The winner will also get to drop the ceremonial first puck at the game along with Jared. Game time is 7:00pm, and doors open at 6:00pm.
While only one winner will pick up the grand prize, several secondary prizes will be handed out, including Condors tickets, autographed Condors merchandise, Pepsi merchandise and free Subway sandwiches for a year. To register for the contest, stop by any local area Subway location.
"We're very pleased to be having Subway's legendary Jared coming into town to catch a Condors game," said Condors President & GM Matthew Riley. "It's a great chance to have your own party at the game, in your own suite and with Subway and Jared around, you're likely to pick up some health tips as well."
The Condors are in action on Friday night against the San Diego Gulls. Game time is 7:00pm from the San Diego Sports Arena. The Condors next home game is on Friday, January 10th, as they host the Fresno Falcons at 7:00pm. All Condors games can be heard live on KGEO AM 1230, with Kevin Bartl handling the play-by-play. "Condors Countdown" starts 15 minutes prior to game time.
Single-game tickets are available through the Centennial Garden Box Office, which opens at 10:00am Monday through Saturday. Tickets may also be purchased by phone through Ticketmaster at 322-2525, online at www.ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster location. Season tickets and group outings may be purchased by calling 324-PUCK (7825), or by visiting the Condors office at Centennial Garden.
Condors Droppings. . . The Condors are holding a jersey design contest, giving fans the chance to show off their artwork for all of the hockey world. The winning jersey will be worn by the players in the Jersey Off Our Backs Raffle and Auction on March 15th. All proceeds raised from the event will go towards CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Kern County. The event is sponsored by KLLY 95.3 and the Bakersfield Californian, and all entries must be received by January 6th, and mailed to the Condors at PO BOX 1806, Bakersfield, California, 93303...
