(NASHVILLE, TN) -- Down to their final strike in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nashville Sounds rallied to beat the Charlotte Knights by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday night in game two of the six-game series from First Horizon Park in Nashville, TN.

A night after winning the opener on Tuesday, the Knights went to the bottom of the ninth inning with a 5-4 lead on Wednesday and had a chance for back-to-back wins for the first time since June 23-24. The Sounds were able to rally and go on for the win to even up this series at 1-1. Nashville LHP Ethan Small (2-4, 3.41) earned the win. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning for the Sounds.

For a second consecutive night, infielder Yolbert Sánchez played a key role for the Charlotte Knights. A night after he drove in three runs for the Knights in Tuesday's opener, Sánchez followed up his solid performance with a two-RBI night on Wednesday. He launched a two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning, his second home run of the season. In all, the Knights pounded out 12 hits in Wednesday's game. First baseman Nate Mondou led the way with a three-hit night for Charlotte.

RHP Luis Patiño started Wednesday's game for the Knights and allowed two runs on just one hit. Patiño, who made his third start of the season with the Knights, did not factor in the decision. A night after he earned the save in Tuesday's opener, Navarro was saddled with the loss on Wednesday.

The two teams will continue the six-game series on Thursday night from Nashville, TN. The "Voice of the Knights" Matt Swierad, who called his 3,500th career Knights game on Wednesday, will have the call for all of the action on Thursday night.
