MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have acquired a third-round draft selection in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenseman Jaroslav Modry, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
The Kings now have three selections in the third round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft in addition to two selections in the first round and two selections in the second round.
Modry, who turns 37 on February 27, played in 61 games with the Kings this season and had six points (1-5=6) and 42 penalty minutes.
