AHL names Todd Frederickson VP of Team Business Services

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... American Hockey League President and CEO David Andrews announced today that Todd Frederickson has been named to the new position of Vice President of Team Business Services for the AHL.

Frederickson will be responsible for managing a broad program providing quantitative and qualitative best-practices support to AHL member clubs, focusing on marketing and ticket sales, data collection, analysis and reporting.

The Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich., native comes to the AHL office from the Georgia Force of the Arena Football League, where he served as their director of ticket sales and service. Prior to that, Frederickson spent 10 years in the ticketing department of the Chicago Wolves hockey club, including three years as their executive director of ticket sales and service. The Wolves led the AHL in attendance during the 2004-05 season, averaging better than 9,200 fans per game.

Frederickson is a graduate of Denison University in Granville, Ohio.

In operation since 1936, the AHL continues to serve as the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams. More than 83 percent of today's NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and more than 40 million fans have attended AHL games since the 2001-02 season.
