Kings Recall Harrold

MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled defenseman Peter Harrold from the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Harrold, 24, has one point (0-1=1) and zero penalty minutes in five games with the Kings this season. With the Monarchs, he has 43 points (7-36=43) and 25 penalty minutes in 49 games this season. His 36 assists rank first amongst defensemen in the AHL and his 43 points are tied for second amongst blue-liners in the circuit. Harrold, who represented the Monarchs at last month's AHL All-Star Classic, is a 5-foot-11, 195-pound native of Kirtland Hills, Ohio. He has played in 17 career NHL games - all with the Kings - and has three points (0-3=3) and eight penalty minutes. Harrold was originally signed by the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on April 12, 2006.
