MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled forward Lauri Tukonen from the Monarchs, and have assigned forward Brian Boyle to Manchester, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi today announced.
Tukonen, 21, has played in 38 games with the Monarchs this season, and he has 19 points (6-13=19) and 10 penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 198-pound native of Hyvinkaa, Finland, has not played with the Kings this season. Tukonen, who made his NHL debut with the Kings during the 2006-07 season (February 22, 2007 vs. Vancouver), will wear jersey No. 34. With the Monarchs, he has 43 points (21-22=43) and 43 penalty minutes in 47 games this season. A 6-7, 250-pound native of Hingham, Massachusetts, Boyle leads the Monarchs with 21 goals, ranks second on the club with 11 power-play goals and ranks third on the club with 43 points. In the AHL, he was the League's Rookie of the Month for January and he ranks first among rookies in goals and second in power-play goals.
