Iowa Chops News Release

HOUSTON, TX --- The Iowa Stars shutout the Houston Aeros for the second straight game and won for the third time in a row overall in a 3-0 win at the Toyota Center Sunday evening. Tobias Stephan was perfect, stopping all 28 shots he faced in notching his sixth career shutout and fifth this season. The Stars return home for three games this week beginning with the Hamilton Bulldogs on Tuesday at Wells Fargo Arena at 7:07.

Chris Conner, Brett Westgarth and James Neal scored for the Stars who have won three straight road games for the first time this season. Rookie Westgarth's goal was his first AHL goal and point. He later added an assist on Neal's goal for his first AHL assist and first multi-point game. Neal's goal was his eighth of the season while Conner's was his seventh. Also, Neal's goal gives him three goals and two assists in the last four games.

For Stephan, he set a new team record for shutouts in a season and ties Dan Ellis for the franchise career mark.
