MANCHESTER, NH - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have recalled forward Teddy Purcell (emergency recall) from the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

Purcell, 22, has played in five games with the Kings this season and has one assist (his first career NHL point) and zero penalty minutes. He made his Kings/NHL debut at Edmonton on January 15. With the Monarchs, Purcell leads the team in scoring (58 points) and assists (42), and both totals also rank first among rookies and third overall in the AHL. Purcell, who signed with the Kings as an unrestricted free agent on April 27, 2007, is a native of St. John's, New Foundland.
