Rivermen Announce Player Moves

The St. Louis Blues reassigned goaltender Marek Schwarz to the Alaska Aces of the ECHL earlier today, and the Peoria Rivermen also assigned right wing Josh Soares to the Aces while signing goaltender Derek Gustafson to a Professional Try-Out agreement.

Schwarz, 21, recorded a 9-10-2 mark with the Rivermen this season alongside a 2.57 GAA and .891 save percentage. He also appeared in two games with the Blues this year, with an 0-1-0 mark.

Soares finishes his second stint with the Rivermen now having appeared in a total of seven games, scoring twice and totaling four points. An ECHL All-Star selection earlier this season with Alaska, Soares notched 21 goals and 48 points in 35 games with the Aces.

Gustafson comes to Peoria for the first time after appearing in 31 games with the Aces where he posted an 11-15-4 record, 3.68 GAA, and .880 save percentage. He will dress tonight for the Rivermen and wear #34.
