Kings Assign Campbell to Monarchs

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Los Angeles Kings, the parent club of the Manchester Monarchs, have assigned defenseman Andrew Campbell to the Monarchs, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.

The 26-year-old made his Kings/National Hockey League debut at Vancouver on April 5 and appeared in three games with the Kings.

He has appeared in 68 games with the Monarchs this season, recording 16 points (3-1316), 58 penalty minutes and a plus-17 rating.

The 6-foot-4, 206-pound native of Caledonia, Ontario has spent the last six seasons with Manchester.

Campbell was selected by the Kings in the third round (74th overall) in the 2008 NHL Draft.

The Monarchs return to the Dunkin' Donuts Center to battle the Providence Bruins in the final regular season game at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18.
