Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
Thursday's doubleheader between the Cedar Rapids Kernels and Clinton LumberKings has been cancelled due to weather and wet grounds. Since the two teams do not play again in the MWL regular season, the games will not be made up.
Fans with Premier, Club, or Plaza tickets for Wednesday, August 26 and Thursday, August 27, may exchange them for tickets of equal value for any future regular season Kernels home game, pending availability. The Kernels open a four game series with the Peoria Chiefs, the Midwest League affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, on Friday, August 28th. You'll want to be here when the gates open at 5:30 pm on Z 102.9 Progressive Beer Night where 16 oz. draft beer starts at $1 when the gates open and goes up a dollar an hour until reaching full price.
