Belleville Senators News Release

Belleville Senators forward and Canadian men's captain Chris Kelly has helped guide Canada to a bronze medal at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

Kelly scored twice in a 6-4 win over the Czech Republic as Canada medalled for the third straight year after they won gold in 2010 and 2014.

Over six games in the tournament, Kelly tallied two goals and an assist. The Olympic bronze adds to an already stellar career resume that features a Stanley Cup ring and a Spengler Cup.

The Toronto native has spent nearly seven of his 12 full seasons in the NHL with the Ottawa Senators. In his career, Kelly has played in 833 regular season contests scoring 123 goals and adding 166 assists. He's also suited up in 120 Stanley Cup Playoff games adding 12 goals and 32 points.

He was part of the Senators team that went to the 2007 Stanley Cup Finals and won a ring in 2011 with the Boston Bruins.

In 16 games with Belleville this season, Kelly had two assists.
