The set-up

The Belleville Senators will look to rebound from a loss in Binghamton Friday night as they face another North Division rival in the Laval Rocket tonight.

The Sens (21-31-1-3) have lost three straight and remain 20 points behind Utica for a playoff spot with 20 games left in their inaugural season.

Laval (20-26-6-2) are fifth in the North Division, two points ahead of Belleville, as they too look to chase the Comets down for a playoff berth.

The Rocket actually hold a winning record on the road as they 11-9-4-1 while the Sens are 12-14-1-0 at the Yardmen.

Tonight's game is also History of Hockey night where a number of NHL trophies will be on display alongside a look back at key players and teams from the Bay of Quinte.

Roster notes

The Senators acquired forward Eric Selleck Thursday from Hartford and he is expected to make his Belleville debut tonight.

Vince Dunn however was lost Friday night as he was shipped to Pittsburgh as part of the Penguins acquisition of Derick Brassard from Ottawa.

Marcus Hogberg is expected to start in goal for Belleville tonight after Chris Driedger started Friday and Danny Taylor remains injured.

Max McCormick is still with Ottawa while Kyle Flanagan, Francis Perron and Christian Jaros have yet to return for the Senators.

Previous history

Belleville is 2-5 against Laval this season and the Rocket have won the past two matchups including a 3-2 victory at Place Bell on Feb. 14. Belleville's last win against the Rocket was on Jan. 19, a 4-1 victory. The teams will faceoff another four times after tonight's contest.

Who to watch

Of his seven goals this season, three of Jack Rodewald's have come against the Rocket. The Winnipeg native has 16 points in 42 games this season and found the scoreboard on Feb. 14 when the two teams last met.

Adam Cracknell has been a thorn in the Sens' side this season as he's put up three goals and two assists in four games. Since being traded to Laval, Cracknell has 31 points (18 goals) in 32 games.
