Kashirsky Returns to Stingrays

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach/Director of Hockey Operations Cail MacLean announced today that forward Nikita Kashirsky has been assigned to the team by the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

Kashirsky, 25, skated in 12 games this season with the Stingrays netting five goals and six assists for 11 points and 10 penalty minutes. While with the Bears, the Moscow, Russia native dressed in two games, recording no points. Kashirsky lit the lamp 19 times as a rookie for the Stingrays last season and accumulated 16 assists for 35 points in 39 games. The 6-foot, 180-pound forward also appeared in 25 games with the Springfield Falcons and Manitoba Moose of the AHL achieving six points (3g, 3a). Prior to turning pro, Kashirsky played for four seasons at Norwich University potting 144 points (73g, 71a) in 110 games. As a senior, Kashirsky led the team in goals (17), assists (17) and points (34) while appearing in all 25 games en route to All-ECAC East First Team honors for the second straight campaign.

The Stingrays travel to The Arena at Gwinnett Center to battle the Gladiators today, Tuesday, November 23 at 7:05 p.m. before returning home to celebrate Thanksgiving against the Gladiators on Friday, November 26 at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum.
