DULUTH, GA - The Gwinnett Gladiators picked up their first home shutout since October 2006 Tuesday night in a 2-0 win against the South Carolina Stingrays at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

Chris Carrozzi made 20 saves, and has not allowed a goal in four plus periods of action.

The Gladiators (10-4-0-3) out-shot the Stingrays (6-9-1-0) in the first period 8-5, but at the end of twenty minutes it remained scoreless.

Forward Ian McKenzie put the Gladiators on the board at the 6:42 mark with hammering home a deflection off a defender's skate for his second of the year.

The Glads remained in the lead at 1-0 at the end of the second period.

The back and forth action continued into the third period until Aaron Bendickson added another goal for the Gladiators increasing the lead to 2-0. Danick Paquette set it up with a behind the back pass and Pat Galivan also received an assist on the play.

This Bendickson's first game played back at home since returning from the AHL on November 16th and his first goal since returning.

Gwinnett held South Carolina to 0-for-4 on the powerplay, and have now killed off 19 penalties in a row.

The Gladiators face the Toledo Walleye at home on Thanksgiving night starting at 7:05.
