K-Wings' Gill Heads to Grand Rapids

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders and American Hockey League's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, announce goaltender Riley Gill has been loaned to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL.

Gill heading to Grand Rapids marks the 16th time this season that a member of the K-Wings has been sent up to the AHL.

Beginning a three-game week, Kalamazoo will continue their four-game home stand with the third-leg of the stand tomorrow, Thursday, March 17th with a 7 p.m. face-off during the South Carolina Stingrays during the 30th Annual "World Famous" St. Patrick's Day Green Ice Game, presented by 5/3 Bank, WWMT and WRKR. Following March 17th's contest, the K-Wings will auction off their St. Patrick's jerseys. On the season, Kalamazoo leads the season series over South Carolina, who starts the week in second place in the South Division, with a record of 3-2-0-0.

On Friday, the K-Wings will conclude their four-game home stand with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Trenton Devils on Celebration! Cinema Night and it will the final Frugal Fan Friday of the regular season, featuring $1 beers and $1 hot dogs. So far this season, the K-Wings are 1-1-0-0 versus the Devils, who start the week in third place in the Atlantic Division.

Friday will also be a Win-Win night, presented by WNWN, if the K-Wings are victorious on Friday, all fans in attendance will receive a coupon for FREE ticket to one of the K-Wings next two home games.

Single-game tickets for all regular season home games are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office.
