ABOUT TONIGHT'S MATCHUP:
Season Series: Toledo leads 3-2
Tonight's game features two teams attempting to clinch a playoff spot in a very tight Eastern Conference. The Nailers currently hold the seventh seed in the conference, and are currently four points ahead of Toledo. However, a win tonight could boost Wheeling to the fifth seed in the conference. Toledo is on the outside looking in at the moment in the 10th spot.
The Nailers are coming off an impressive 5-3 victory at Kalamazoo on Sunday. The win snapped a 16-game unbeaten streak by the Wings. Mikael Bedard scored twice in the victory, while Tyler Murovich logged three assists.
The Walleye are coming off a 7-3 win over Reading on Sunday, and have posted a 4-2-0-1 record over the last seven games. Toledo scored four power play goals against the Nailers in the previous meeting back on February 23 at the Huntington Center. However, Wheeling sports the league's second best penalty kill unit in the ECHL.
