IN JUST A FEW HOURS...
The Elmira Jackals and the Trenton Devils play the 14th of 16 games of the 2010-2011 season at 7:00 p.m. at the Sun National Bank Center. The Devils defeated the Jackals in the latest meeting on Sunday, 3-2, in a shootout in Trenton.
LOOKING AT THE RIVALRY
Elmira is 7-5-0-1 against Trenton this season, while the Devils are 6-7-0-0 against the Jackals. Yannick Tifu leads Elmira against Trenton with 20 points (7g-13a) and has collected 33 penalty minutes versus the Devils in 13 games. Ryan Ginand paces the Devils against the Jackals with 17 points (11g-6a) in 12 games.
POWER-PLAY GOALS GO MISSING
For the first time since Feb. 25, the Jackals participated in a game on Sunday that did not see either team score a power-play goal. Elmira was 0/1 on the power play and killed off all eight Trenton man advantages.
