The Mudcats and Blue Rocks play game two of a three game series tonight at Five County Stadium. Wilmington won game one of the series last night 3-0 and handed Carolina its ninth shutout loss of the season. Cary, NC native RHP Max Povse gets the start tonight for Carolina in game two of the series. Povse last pitched on 7/15 against the Dash at Five County Stadium and took the loss after allowing five runs on seven hits over seven innings pitched. He allowed two runs in the first, but eventually settled in and retired 10 straight batters between the second and fifth innings. Winston-Salem later rallied for three runs against him in the sixth, but Povse managed to work through seven full innings. He enters tonight's start 1-3 with an 8.83 ERA over four starts with the Mudcats. Povse is currently 0-2 and has posted a 13.50 ERA over two starts at Five County Stadium.

Tonight's game begins at 7:00 p.m. at Five County Stadium and will air on the Mudcats Radio Network with the pre game show beginning at 6:45 p.m.
