TO DL: INF Jose Vinicio ADD: INF/OF Dustin Lawley

Vinicio was injured while attempting to steal home during Sunday's game at Myrtle Beach. The 22-year-old has appeared in 57 games with Salem, starting at second base, shortstop, and third base. Overall, he's hitting .294 with 11 doubles, three triples, 13 RBI and 29 runs scored. In the second half, Vinicio was batting a robust .356 in 17 games.

Lawley was signed by Boston on July 17 after being released by the New York Mets organization. In 67 games with Double-A Binghamton this year, Lawley hit .213 with 6 HR and 26 RBI. The 26-year-old was originally drafted by the Mets in the 19th round of the 2011 Draft out of the University of West Florida.

Last year, Lawley played the entire season with Double-A Binghamton, finishing sixth in the Eastern League with 69 RBI and ninth with 20 home runs. Lawley last played at the Advanced-A level in 2013 with the St. Lucie Mets. That season, he hit .260 with 25 home runs and 92 RBI. The 25 home runs led the Florida State League, where he was named the league MVP.

Lawley will wear number 34 and is active for tonight's game in Myrtle Beach. The Red Sox roster sits at the league maximum of 25 players with five on the disabled list.
