Jonathan Schoop to Begin Rehab Assignment Friday

BOWIE, Md. - Baltimore Orioles infielder Jonathan Schoop is set to begin a Major League Rehab Assignment with the Baysox on Friday. Schoop has been on the Disabled List since April 18 with a knee injury. His playing schedule beyond Friday has not yet been determined. Schoop spent the 2012 season with the Baysox, batting .245 with 14 home runs and 56 RBI in 124 games. The Baysox open an eight-game homestand Friday, June 19 that runs through Friday, June 26 with series' against the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees) and New Britain Rock Cats (Colorado Rockies).
