The Chiefs traveled to Toledo on Wednesday, falling to the Storm 3-1, before returning home to face Reading on Friday. Johnstown dropped a 4-3 decision to Reading on Friday evening, and then traveled to Reading on Saturday, winning 6-3 at the Sovereign Center to secure the final playoff spot in the ECHL's North Division.

Great Performances:

Jean Desrochers scored a hat trick on Saturday evening, his second of the season, in the Chiefs 6-3 win at Reading.

Ryan Munce made 49 saves on 52 shots, including 40 saves in the second and third periods, in the Chiefs win on Saturday night.

Gus Katsuras had a goal and an assist on Friday night, and scored the game winner and added an assist on Saturday evening. Katsuras has eight points in his last five games.

April 4 @ Toledo (1-3 L)

John Adams scored the Chiefs only goal on the man-advantage, while Toledo got a shorthand goal from Scooter Smith, a power-play goal from Nick Parillo, and an even-strength goal from Jeremy Hall as the Storm beat the Chiefs 3-1. Morgan Cey made 27 saves on 30 shots, and Johnstown was 1-for-4 on the power play.

April 6 vs. Reading (3-4 L)

Gus Katsuras, Marek Kvapil, and P.J. Atherton scored for Johnstown, but it wasn't enough as Reading held on to beat the Chiefs at the War Memorial. Morgan Cey made 28 saves, earning the loss, while the Chiefs were 2-for-9 on the man-advantage.

April 7 @ Reading (6-3 W)

Jean Desrochers scored a hat trick, and Gus Katsuras, Zbynek Hrdel, and Andrew Martens each added a goal as the Chiefs won the final game of the regular season to secure a spot in the playoffs. Ryan Munce won his fourth consecutive start, making 49 saves on 52 shots, and Johnstown was 1-for-2 on the power play.

Chiefs Notes: Johnstown has scored a power-play goal in seven consecutive games. The Chiefs are 10-for-36 (27.7%) on the man-advantage in that span... The Chiefs face Trenton in the North Division Quarterfinals for the second consecutive year. Johnstown won last year's series 2-0... Gus Katsuras has eight points (4g, 4a) in his last four games... Marek Kvapil scored 11 points (3g, 8a) in seven games since being assigned to the Chiefs... Ryan Munce made a season-high 49 saves to earn the win at Reading on Saturday.
