Joey Greany Named PCL Strength & Conditioning Coach of the Year

OMAHA, Neb. - The Professional Baseball Strength and Conditioning Coaches Society has announced that Omaha's Joey Greany has been named the Pacific Coast League Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year. It is the fourth time that Greany has been honored with the award, and the third straight year.

Greany is in his eighth season with the Royals organization, and second season with the Storm Chasers as he also coached during 2012. He earned the Carolina League Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year in 2014 with Wilmington, South Atlantic League honors in 2013 with Lexington and Texas League Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year honors with Northwest Arkansas in 2011.

Prior to the Royals, Greany was a sports performance coach at Velocity Sports Performance in Mahwah, New Jersey. He played baseball at Alfred State College in New York, and Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, Tennessee while receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education. He was inducted into Alfred State College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011, and earned his Master's Degree from California University of Pennsylvania in Exercise Science.
