
Bandy Doubles Twice in Bees Loss to Zephyrs

New Orleans - New Orleans jumped on top of the Bees with three runs in the bottom of the first inning, as the Zephyrs cruised to a 7-4 win over Salt Lake on Friday night. Brady Shoemaker and Vinny Rottino each delivered an RBI single and Isaac Galloway capped off the inning with a sacrifice fly off of Bees starter Tyler DeLoach. Salt Lake would score twice in the fourth inning on an RBI double by Jett Bandy and a sacrifice fly by Angel Rosa to pull to within one at 3-2, but New Orleans would break the game open with three more runs in the fifth.
DeLoach (1-5) was charged with the loss, and went four and one-third innings and allowed six runs on ten hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Collin Cowgill led the Bees with three hits and one run batted in, while Efren Navarro added three singles. Jett Bandy chipped in with two doubles and two RBI, as New Orleans has claimed the first two games of the series.
