BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (April 1, 2014) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers announced today that they have released forward Joel Broda from his professional tryout contract (PTO).
Broda, 24, signed his PTO on Feb. 19, his second PTO of the season. Earlier in the year, he appeared in eight games for the Oklahoma City Barons and collected two points (one goal, one assist). With the Sound Tigers, he notched six points (two goals, four assists) in 16 games. He will return to the Bakersfield Condors (ECHL), where he served as captain and has 35 points (19 goals, 16 assists) in 35 games this season.
