Jim McKenzie and Geoff Waugh Assigned To Elmira

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators, in conjunction with the Ottawa Senators, announced today that right-winger Jim McKenzie and defenseman Geoff Waugh have been assigned to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

McKenzie has one assist, four penalty minutes and a -2 rating in 11 games with the B-Sens this season. The 24-year-old missed the B-Sens first 12 games rehabilitating from off-season shoulder surgery. A native of St. Paul, Minnesota, McKenzie was selected by the Ottawa Senators in the fifth round (141st overall) in the 2004 NHL entry draft.

Waugh has one assist, 12 penalty minutes and a -4 rating in nine games with the B-Sens. The 25-year-old defenseman missed the B-Sens first 13 games with a foot injury. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Waugh was selected by the Dallas Stars in the third round (78th overall) of the 2002 NHL entry draft.

The Jackals (11-7-0-3, 25 pts.) are currently in fifth place of the North Division and take on the first-place Johnstown Chiefs (17-6-1-0, 35 pts.) tonight at 7:05 p.m.

The B-Sens return to home ice on Friday, Dec. 12 to host the Portland Pirates at 7:05 p.m.
