LOOKING AHEAD:
Winners of three straight games, Peoria kicks off a four-game North Division road swing at Lake Erie on Wednesday before traveling to Hamilton on Thursday... The Rivermen defeated the Monsters at home by identical 5-2 scores on back-to-back nights in late October and are 6-0-0-0 all-time against Lake Erie... Nikolay Lemtyugov has a point in six of his last seven games (2-6-8) for Peoria and leads the Rivermen with 19 points overall (5-14-19)... Josh Soares has netted a goal in five straight games (5-2-7), and rookie goaltender Ben Bishop shows a 1.94 GAA and .945 save percentage over Peoria's three-game winning streak... Chris Durno is pacing the Monsters' active roster with 13 points (5-8-13) in 19 games... Three of Lake Erie's top four scorers are currently on NHL recall to Colorado... Monsters goaltender Tyler Weiman is 4-3-0 (1.98, .931) over his last seven appearances.
Providence makes its first trip of the season to the XL Center on Wednesday to battle division-rival Hartford... The Bruins have defeated the Wolf Pack twice this season in Providence, most recently a 4-3 overtime triumph on Nov. 30... Three-time AHL All-Star Martin St. Pierre is riding a five-game scoring streak for the B's and shows a team-high 27 points (7-20-27) for the season... Martins Karsums also has a five-game scoring run (4-3-7), and six of his team-leading 11 goals overall have come on the power play... The Bruins' Johnny Boychuk is tied for the scoring lead among all AHL defensemen with 25 points (6-19-25) in 23 contests... Hartford is opening a three-game homestand and will play six of its next seven at the XL Center... Second-year forward Artem Anisimov has scored a goal in four straight games (5-0-5) and five of his last six outings (6-0-6) for the Wolf Pack... Brodie Dupont (2-1-3) and Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau (1-2-3) each show three-game scoring streaks.
Iowa travels to Rockford on Thursday for the division rivals' first meeting since Oct. 17... The Chops have ridden a four-game winning streak and eight-game points streak (6-0-1-1) to first place in the West Division, while the IceHogs are 6-2-0-2 in their last 10 contests... Drew Miller has a goal in three straight games (3-2-5) for the Chops, including two consecutive game-winners... Andrew Ebbett is riding a six-game scoring streak (2-8-10) and leads Iowa's offense with 26 points overall (9-17-26)... T.J. Trevelyan has found the scoresheet in three of his last four contests (2-1-3)... Petri Kontiola paces the IceHogs with 24 points (7-17-24) on the campaign and has found the scoresheet in eight of his last nine outings (2-10-12)... Pascal Pelletier shows a team-high 13 goals (13-8-21) for the IceHogs... On home ice this season, Rockford boasts the AHL's top-ranked power play (27.9 percent) and third-ranked penalty kill (90.9 percent) through 12 tilts.

Chris Stewart, who led the AHL's Lake Erie Monsters with 25 goals in 2007-08 and has 11 points in 19 AHL games this year, tallied his first career NHL marker and added an assist in Colorado's 6-1 win over Los Angeles on Tuesday... Philadelphia's Darroll Powe also scored his first NHL goal on Tuesday in the Flyers' 4-3 win over the N.Y. Islanders, and Tampa Bay's Paul Szczechura - who shows 11 goals and 24 points in 23 AHL games for Norfolk this season - tallied the first goal of his NHL career on Monday in the Lightning's 5-3 loss to Boston.
