VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Norfolk Admirals announced today that their parent club, the Chicago Blackhawks, has assigned centerman Jason Morgan to Norfolk. Morgan was acquired by Chicago yesterday, along with a conditional draft pick, from the Calgary Flames for left wing Ville Nieminen.

Morgan had been playing for the Lowell Lock Monsters (AHL), where he posted 6+13=19 points and 16 PIM in 21 games. The 27-year old forward appeared in 13 contests with Calgary this year, registering two points (two assists) and two PIM. Earlier this season, he skated in six games with the Nashville Predators (NHL), netting 0+2=2 points and two PIM.

The Blue and Gold host the Binghamton Senators (Ottawa Senators) for two matches this weekend. The teams square off on Friday, February 27 and Saturday, February 28 at 7:30 p.m. both nights.
