Springfield Falcons News Release
Springfield, MA â Lyric Street Recording Artist and Springfield native Ashley Gearing will perform Friday night when the Springfield Falcons host the Hartford Wolf Pack at the Springfield Civic Center. Ashley will sing the national anthem and perform a mini-concert during the first intermission of the game. Game time is 7:35 p.m.
A few weeks after her 12th birthday, Ashley became the youngest female artist to enter the Billboard country music charts with her song, "Can You Hear Me When I Talk To You?". The feat eclipsed a 46-year-old mark set by Brenda Lee.
Ashley first sang the national anthem at a Falcons game when she was just eight years old. She has also appeared with the Boston Pops Orchestra as part of the Freedom Concert that helped welcome home General Tommy Franks and has performed at a sold out Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park.
Ashley is currently working on her debut major-label album for Lyric Street.
The Falcons will look to extend their five-game unbeaten streak when the club takes on the Wolf Pack in the game on Friday. For more information, please contact the Falcons team office (413) 739-3344.
