Jake Allen Recalled by Blues

St. Louis Blues Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today the club has recalled goaltender Jake Allen from the Blues' American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen under emergency conditions.

Allen, 21, has played in 38 games for the Rivermen this season, posting a 13-20-2 record which includes one shutout, a .915 save percentage and a 2.93 goals against average. Last season, the 6'2", 195-pound goaltender set Rivermen AHL records in wins (24), minutes played (2805), saves (1306), and shutouts (6).

Allen, a native of Fredericton, New Brunswick was originally drafted by the Blues in the second round, 34th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
