Abbotsford, BC - The Abbotsford Heat presented their annual team awards following today's game and are proud to announce this year's winners.

Top Rookie: Dustin Sylvester

* 35 points (15-20-35) in 64 games

* New Heat rookie record for points in a season - T.J. Brodie had 34 in 2010-11

* Finished 33rd in AHL rookie scoring

* Tied for 5th on Heat with plus-8 rating Fan's Choice Award: Krys Kolanos

* New single season franchise records for goals (30) and points (61) despite appearing in just 47 games

* 13 multi-point games

* 7th in AHL with 240 shots on goal Community Player of the Year: Carter Bancks

* Recognized for outstanding contribution to the community of Abbotsford

* Made several community appearances including playing floor hockey with Special Olympians, reading to students through the local school district and signing thousands of autographs Top Defenseman & Team MVP: Clay Wilson

* Finished 6th in AHL defence scoring with 43 points (16-27-43)

* Recorded plus-nine rating good enough for fourth on the Heat

* Dawned the Captain's 'C' in absence of Quintin Laing

* Consistent leader in ice time/minutes played for the Heat
