
Barons Take on Houston in Round 1 of Calder Cup Playoffs

The Oklahoma City Barons will face the Houston Aeros in the first round of the Calder Cup playoffs. The best-of-5 series will start Thursday at the Toyota Center in Houston. A complete schedule is listed below.
The first round series is a best-of-5 played in a 2-3 format. The higher seeded team has the option to play either the first two games at home or play the final games of the series at home. The Barons record of 45-22-4-5 and 99 points is the best in the Western Conference and will give Oklahoma City home ice advantage throughout playoff games against Western Conference opponents.

Oklahoma City played an eight-game season series against the Aeros, going 7-0-0-1 in those games. Despite the record, the series was close with five of the eight games decided by one goal, with four of those one-goal games decided in a shootout. Barons goaltender Yann Danis started each of the eight games against the Aeros, posting that 7-0-0-1 record, a 1.32 goals against average, .946 save percentage and two shutouts. Forward Josh Green was the Barons leading scorer against Houston with seven points (3-4-7).
