Jackson named Plus Performer of the Month for February

The ECHL announced today that Gladiators defenseman Jim Jackson as well as Columbia forward Jesse Schultz have been named C&T Hockey Products Plus Performers of the Month for February.

Jackson and Schultz both recorded the best plus minus rating for the Month of February with a +15. Jackson finished up the last week of the month with a +8 rating and a +4 on the last day of the Month to move into a tie with Schultz.

The rookie out of Northern Michigan University had a plus-minus rating of +9 entering the month of February and is a +36 in the Gladiators 32 wins this season. Jackson was a +4 twice during the month and a +3 for two games as well.

Jackson was plus or even in 10 of 14 games in the month of February while tallying 5 goals and 9 assists as the Gladiators went 10-3-2 during the month to improve to 32-19-5 and into 3rd place in the Central Division.

Kevin Doell and Paul Flache were also named runners up for the award each totaling a plus-minus rating of +12.

Following an eight day break, the Gladiators are back in action on Tuesday, March 9th against the Louisiana IceGators at 7:05 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. For ticket information contact the Gladiators office at 770-497-5100.
