DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Wolves announced today that the team selected forward Mamoudou Diarra with the 12th overall pick in the 2022 NBA G League draft. Diarra was Iowa's lone selection in the draft.
Diarra, 6-9, from Bamako, Mali finished his collegiate career at Tennessee Tech University after playing his first four seasons at the University of Cincinnati. During the 2021-22 season, he appeared in 27 games for the Golden Eagles, averaging 8.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while shooting 45.0 % from the floor and 37.8% from three. Diarra played in 70 career games for the Bear Cats.
