Iowa Wild Recall John Curry

Orlando, FL - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Iowa Wild and Toronto Marlies, announced today that the Iowa Wild have recalled goaltender John Curry from the Orlando Solar Bears.

Curry has played in 12 games for the Solar Bears this season, earning a 9-2-0 record with a 2.63 GAA and .918 save percentage. He was named the ECHL [image: John Curry] Goaltender of the Week for November 4-10 when he posted a 2-0-0 record, 2.00 GAA, and .943 save percentage. In his Solar Bears career, Curry has compiled a 26-13-2 record with a 2.75 GAA and .912 save percentage. He has played in one game for Iowa this season, stopping 17 of 19 shots in a 2-1 loss to Abbotsford on November 24.

The native of Shorewood, MN, has played 179 games in the American Hockey League, earning a 2.47 GAA and .908 save percentage to go along with a 103-60-7 record. In 2010-11 as a member of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Curry played in the AHL All-Star Game and won the "Harry Holmes" trophy for best goaltending duo in the league. He has played four games in the NHL, collecting a 2-2-0 record.
