WHEN: 7:35 p.m.
The Jackals are facing the Cyclones tonight for the second of seven meetings this season, and first of five at U.S. Bank Arena. The Jackals are 1-0-0 against Cincinnati thanks to a 2-1 win in Elmira on November 30. Elmira is making its first appearance in Cincinnati since a 3-1 win on January 15, 2013. That capped a perfect mark of 2-0-0 for the Jackals in Cincinnati last year with Maxime Clermont backstopping both victories. Elmira is 8-5-2 in its ECHL era at U.S. Bank Arena and hasn't lost in Cincinnati since a 3-2 decision on March 23, 2010 (4-0-0). This two-game trip marks Elmira's first venture into the North Division this season. Last year the Jackals were 5-2-0 on the road against the North and this year have gone 4-1-1 in their first six home dates against North Division foes (FTW, CIN, and KAL).
Christian Ouellet was held without a point in his first five games as a Jackal, but over the last six he has turned up the production. After five points (3G, 2A) in three games last week Ouellet has seven (3G, 4A) in his last six games. Ouellet showed similar bursts of productivity last year as a rookie with San Francisco when he put up six points (4G, 2A) in six games from 1/20-1/30/13 & nine points (4G, 5A) from 3/8 to 3/17/13.
Mark your calendars! The Jackals return to home ice on Thursday, December 26 to take on the Reading Royals.
