TONIGHT:

The Ontario Reign (17-3-1-3) host the Stockton Thunder (13-8-0-3). Ontario has yet to lose to the Thunder after playing four of their 14 contests this season. The Reign have averaged 3.75 goals-for when playing the Thunder and have averaged just 1.5 goals-against. So far this season, Stockton ranks second in the league in the goals-for category with an average of 3.33 - the best in the Western Conference; the Reign rank ninth with 3.14. Ontario's strength is keeping their goals-against average low ranking third in the league with a 2.33 goals-against average.

Ontario ranks first in the Pacific Division, Western Conference and the league with 38 points a .792 win percentage - Stockton is second, fifth, and 11th, respectively with 29 points and .604 win percentage. The Reign are on a three-game winning streak and the Thunder are on a three-game point streak (two wins, one shootout loss).

RECORDS ARE MADE TO BE BROKEN:

Ontario's win in Vegas on Monday night (technically Tuesday morning) marked the team's eighth straight road game earning at least a point setting a new club record previously held by the 2012-13 team who earned points in seven straight road games. The Reign are one road win away from tying the all-time franchise record, which was set by the Texas Wildcatters in December 2007 when they won eight road straight road games.

The Las Vegas game also had a Reign all-time record 55 shots on goal. Twelve of those shots came from defenseman Matt Register whose shot count set the season-high for the Reign and tied the all-time single-game Reign record with Jeff Corey. Register broke the 4-4 tie in overtime with his third OT game-winning goal which set another all-time Reign record for that category.

POWERFUL POWER PLAY:

The Reign started the season taking 12 games to score eight power-play goals for a 15.09% conversion rate. The Reign power play has improved to see eight power-play goals scored in their five most recent games. In these last games, the team's power play conversion percentage is 32%. The Thunder are currently leading the league in overall power-play with a 24.1% success rate.
