Re-Vaived Road Warriors Win 4-1

Estero, FL: Justin Vaive and several other Road Warriors' multipoint efforts led the team to a 4-1 victory against the Florida Everblades on Friday night.
The early stages of the game were controlled by Florida's high flying offense. The Everblades potted 11 shots in the first 15 minutes to Greenville's three. The Road Warriors finished the period strong with a final shot total of 13 combined with no other Everblades collecting a shot on net. Despite the chances, the game remained scoreless heading into the second period.
Just moments into the period, Vaive grabbed some momentum with a extensive fight against Carl Nielsen. Vaive broke the scoreless tie with a deflection goal halfway through the second period. The forward scored his second of the year with assists credited to Andrew Rowe and Brad Cole. In the closing minutes, Jordie Johnston found a loose puck in the crease to score his seventh of the year. Marc-Olivier Vallerand and Cole tallied the assists as Greenville took a 2-0 lead into the third.
Just 1:19 seconds into the third, Johnston scored his second of the night on a breakaway. Vallerand intercepted the play in the neutral zone and collected his second assist on the night with pass that lead Johnston alone into the attacking zone. Vaive made his presence know one final time as he notched an assist on the fourth goal of the game. The forward won a battle in the corner finding newcomer Braden Irwin alone at the top of circle. Irwin, a former Everblade, potted a snap shot to give the Road Warriors a 4-0 lead. The second assist was given to Rowe. Connor Knapp's shutout bid was ended by Matthew Pistilli who scored his 15th of the year while shorthanded. Despite the goal, the Road Warriors were able to hang on and win 4-1. Knapp improved to a 4-6-1 record with 30 saves on the night. Vaive, Cole, Rowe, Vallerand, and Johnston registered two-point nights.
