Iowa Energy Win Fifth Straight Game on Pro Wrestling Night

Des Moines, Iowa - The Iowa Energy (12-10) won 112-98 over the Grand Rapids Drive (10-10) Friday night at Wells Fargo Arena. It was the Energy's first ever Pro Wrestling Night headlined by 16-Time World Champion and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

The Energy were led by Joel Wright with 21 points and five rebounds. Lazeric Jones added 19 points and six rebounds. Memphis Grizzlies assignee James Ennis posted 18 points, three rebounds and three assists. The Drive were led by Devin Ebanks with 29 points and seven rebounds.

It was a slow start to the game for the Energy. The Drive jumped out to an early 12-point lead in the first behind 13 points from Ebanks. Jones carried the Energy in the first with 11 points. Grand Rapids led 33-23 after the first. The Energy were able to come back late in the second quarter outscoring the Drive 34-25. Iowa trailed by just one point heading into halftime with the Drive leading 58-57.

The Energy started off the second half hot, opening on an 11-2 run to overtake the Drive and open a 16-point lead. The Energy outscored the Drive 32-15 behind strong offense from Ennis and Wright. Iowa led 89-73 heading into the final quarter. The Energy controlled the fourth, extending the lead to 20 points over Grand Rapids and cruised to a 112-98 win for their fifth straight victory.

The Energy are home again Monday at 7 p.m. against the Raptors 905.
