
Iowa Energy Fall to the Oklahoma City Blue

Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Iowa Energy (7-10) fell 121-109 to the Oklahoma City Blue (10-10) Friday night at the Cox Convention Center.
The Energy set a new team record tonight for three-pointers made in a game with 22. The previous record was set on March 5, 2010 against the Erie BayHawks.
The Blue were led by Semaj Christon with a game-high 31 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The Energy were led by Damien Wilkins with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Former Iowa State Cyclone Diante Garrett added 25 points and made seven three-pointers for the Energy.
The Energy started off the game hot taking an early lead over the Blue. They increased the lead to 10 points before the Blue began to chip away at the lead and pull within four during the first quarter. Iowa held a 31-23 point lead heading into the second quarter.
The Energy continued to shoot the ball well during the second quarter. The hot streak from behind the arc continued, nailing 13 three-pointers by halftime. Iowa held a 69-58 at halftime. Garrett had 19 first-half points.
The Blue came out of halftime ready to fight, outscoring the Energy 30-15 during the third quarter to take an 88-84 lead heading into the fourth quarter. Oklahoma City would extend their lead to 10 during the fourth quarter. Iowa would try to fight back and would pull within four points with 3:25 to play. In the end, the Energy's comeback would come up short as they fell 121-109 to Oklahoma City.
The Energy are back home Sunday at 4pm against the Idaho Stampede and Monday night against the Westchester Knicks at 7pm.
