Iowa Cubs and Ryne Sandberg Hightlight River Cats August 13-20 Homestand

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif., August 10, 2010 - The River Cats play host to the Iowa Cubs (Triple-A Affiliate of the Chicago Cubs) and their Hall of Fame Manager Ryne Sandberg from August 17-20 for a four-game series. Baseball fans have the opportunity to experience Wrigley Field at Raley Field with the first 1,000 fans entering the ballpark each night receiving a Harry Caray fan.
In addition, during the Iowa series on Wednesday, August 16, the first 2,500 fans will receive a River Cats classic toy as part of the Summer of '69 Celebration. Also, on Friday, August 20, the River Cats will hold a Governor Bobblehead Election with fans selecting bobbleheads in the likeness of Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman upon entry to the game; the candidate that runs out first wins.
The homestand begins with a Rock 'n Roll Tribute to Elvis on August 13 as the River Cats face the Omaha Royals (Triple-A Affiliate of the Kansas City Royals) for a four-game series though August 16. Fans have the opportunity to purchase Family Packs for the August 14 game or a Back 2 School Package for the August 15 game. Both packages include exceptional value, including meal vouchers!
