Kannapolis, NC âFrancisco Hernandez went 3-4 with a run and two RBI to lead another I's offensive attack iin a 7-2 win. Kannapolis got on the board in the third sending eight men to the plate scoring four runs on three hits. RHP Adam Russell (2-3) helped secure the lead with six innings of two run, two hit ball earning his second win of the year.
Ryan Finan broke up a Russell no hitter in the fourth inning with a solo home run to center. The Shorebirds added an unearned run in the sixth inning but could not score against the I's bullpen. Jeff Little and John Hurd combined for three innings of scoreless relief.
The I's and Shorebirds go again tomorrow evening at 7:05 pm. RHP Lucas Harrell (1-4 4.25) will start for Kannapolis against RHP Luis Ramirez (2-0 2.33). All of the Intimidators action is available on www.intimidatorsbaseball.com.
