
Independence Eve Remains a Hit with Fans

Coca-Cola field was filled with red, white and blue on Friday night. Fans joined the Bisons in celebrating the KeyBank Independence Eve Celebration with an evening of America's Favorite pastime. Even the players were in the American spirit, sporting their specialty Stars & Stripes baseball caps.
The Independence Eve Celebration was filled with our favorite sport and fans were able to end their night at the ballpark listening to great music performed by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus. The ballpark's largest fireworks show of the year was also displayed as well.
While the Bisons played the Syracuse Chiefs, fans shared why they think baseball is America's favorite sport.

Andrew Wiatrowski from Cheektowaga, NY said he thinks the sport is a favorite because it is enjoyed outdoors and baseball is a fun sport to watch.
Jen Buczek, also from Cheektowaga, NY added that nights like these at the ballpark with a fireworks display and t-shirts and baseballs thrown to the crowd in between innings adds to the excitement of the game.
Spending time with his family is why Brad Lorich from Tonawanda, NY enjoys coming to the ballpark to watch this American classic. His family was also excited to watch the fireworks at the end of the game.
Cole Miller from Tonawanda, NY was quick to say that baseball is his favorite pastime, as well. Miller added that he loves the energy the crowd can bring to a stadium and enjoys sitting outside in the fresh air.
Nick Smothermon and Haley Wojciechowski from West Seneca said that baseball is a timeless American tradition that allows families and friends to spend time with each other during the summer.
The energy the crowd brought Friday night made it very clear how loved the sport of baseball is. The Herd could not agree more with the answers given as to why baseball is America's pastime!
