Idaho Steelheads News Release

BOISE, Idaho¾ Just five days after getting called up to the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League, the Idaho Steelheads' leading scorer is returned. Forward Bryan McGregor flew to Las Vegas late Saturday afternoon and will be dressed for tonight's game against the Wranglers. The puck drops at 8:30 pm MT.

McGregor received the call up on Mar. 9, along with fellow Steelhead Mark Bomersback. Each had played in three games with the Senators, and each tallied one goal and one assist. The assists came on each others' goals. Bomersback remains with the Binghamton team.

Prior to his call up, McGregor, 25, had 50 points (23g-27a) in 54 games since joining the Steelheads on Oct. 29 from the Johnstown Chiefs. The Niagara Falls native also had a team-high plus/minus rating of +15 and three game-winning goals for Idaho. McGregor attended 2008-09 training camp with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL and attended 2007-08 camp with the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League and the Rockford IceHogs of the AHL.

The Steelheads have played two games since McGregor's call up, claiming a 2-1 shootout win in Utah on Wednesday, and falling in Las Vegas 4-1 last night. Following the game against the Wranglers tonight at Orleans Arena (8:30 pm MT), Idaho flies to Utah tomorrow in time for a 5:05 pm MT face off.

Both games can be heard live on ESPN Radio 1350 KTIK The Ticket with Doug Plagens on the call. All home and road games can also be watched through a link on the Steelheads website provided by B2 Networks for $6 a game.
