Icehogs to Offer $5 Tickets For All Kids on Monday

IceHogs to give away gaming systems, feature kids' activities throughout afternoon

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs are offering $5 tickets for all students under 18 years old to Monday's 2:05 p.m. game against the Grand Rapids Griffins.

The game time was moved from 7:05 p.m. to better accommodate families looking for fun activities while Illinois schools marked Martin Luther King Day.

Parents can get tickets at the special group rate by ordering them by Friday at 5 p.m. through the Rockford IceHogs office. For ticket information, call Tom Bergles at (815) 847-6389 or look for an order form distributed through many Rockford-area schools.

Throughout the game, kids in attendance will be given opportunities to win two Nintendo Wii gaming systems as well as two Sony PlayStation 3s and a Nintendo DS. Additionally the Rockford MetroCentre concourse will feature kids games and activities.

The doors open at 1 p.m.

Monday is the first of two Kids' Days scheduled in 2008-09. The IceHogs will feature the Zooperstars at 2:05 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16 as the team welcomes the San Antonio Rampage on Presidents' Day.

Next Home Game: Friday, Jan. 16 vs. Chicago Wolves. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. For the final time this season, the Wolves come to Rockford. The first 1,000 fans 21-and older to the game on Friday will pick up an IceHogs Jersey Koozie presented by Bud Light and the Eagle 96.7 FM.
