BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - Netminder Jeff Glass turned away 36 shots and Ryan Shannon added three assists to lead the B-Sens to a 4-1 victory over the Rochester Americans on Wednesday night at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.

The B-Sens opened the scoring eight minutes into the opening frame with their first of two power-play goals. Ryan Shannon forced a turnover inside the offensive zone and fed Greg Mauldin, who wristed home the opening marker over the glove hand of Rochester's Chris Beckford-Tseu.

Less than a minute later Zack Smith took a pass from Shannon and found Matt Carkner wide open on the right point, who wound up and blasted home his second goal of the season.

Starting the third period on a power-play, the B-Sens wasted no time jumping ahead 3-0 when Tomas Kudelka wristed home his third goal of the season. The B-Sens had puck control in the Rochester zone when Josh Hennessy cycled the puck to Ryan Shannon and then to Kudelka for another power-play goal.

Before the period was over, the Americans jumped on the scoreboard when they caught the B-Sens on a line change. They walked in the zone with a 3-on-1 and Michael Duco slipped a low shot past Glass.

After killing off five penalties, the B-Sens were rewarded on their last attempt shorthanded when Denis Hamel scored an empty-netter from the red line. The goal extended Hamel's (4+3) point streak to four games, while Mauldin also extended his point streak (3+3) to four games.
