Louisiana IceGators News Release

Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana IceGators announced today they intend to play a tenth season of IceGators hockey. Gator Play, LLC., the IceGators ownership group, has pledged to do all they can to keep professional hockey in Acadiana, now and in the future.

"It is our desire as an ownership group to do everything possible to see the IceGators franchise have not only a tenth anniversary season, but also a fifteenth and a twentieth season as well," said IceGators owner John Lingo. "To succeed in this pursuit, we need the Acadiana community to help us reach the necessary goals for the upcoming season.

The IceGators are asking the community and businesses of Acadiana to assist in making the Tenth Anniversary season the best one yet. By implementing a season ticket drive, "Tickets for the Tenth," and contacting Acadiana businesses about season tickets and sponsorship opportunities, the IceGators hope to build a solid foundation for a long and successful future.

Acadiana's Home Team is also planning possible promotional nights for their tenth year of operations. IceGators fans may have the opportunity to vote on a "Team of the Decade" or see an IceGators Alumni game. These promotional and fan events present unique sponsorship opportunities for area businesses.

The ownership group will continue to accept and recruit new investors to strengthen the foundation of the IceGators organization. Anyone interesting in pursuing an investment opportunity with the IceGators can contact General Manager Brian Kelley or any member of the ownership group.
