Ice Pilots Can Win Brabham Cup Tonight, Jason Beckett Reassigned From Syracuse

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots announced that defenseman Jason Beckett has been reassigned to the Ice Pilots from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.

Beckett has played in 5 games for Syracuse this season picking up 6 penalty minutes and has played in 60 games for the Ice Pilots this season scoring 10 goals, 16 assists for 26 points and has picked up 118 penalty minutes.

The Ice Pilots will play home tonight vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. The Ice Pilots can win the regular season championship and claim the Brabham Cup with a win or an overtime/shootout loss vs. Mississippi. The Ice Pilots can also win the Brabham Cup if Alaska loses their game or loses in overtime or a shootout at Fresno.

Fans are encouraged to keep their ticket stubs to tonights game vs. Mississippi on April 2nd as fans can redeem their ticket stubs from the game at the Gutter Lounge or the new Liberty Lanes for two for one drinks at the Gutter Lounge and buy one get one free game of bowling at the new Liberty Lanes. Fans will have until April 9th to redeem their ticket stubs. The new Liberty Lanes and Gutter Lounge is located at 3200 Palafox Street.

The Ice Pilots first two home Kelly Cup Playoff games will be played at the Pensacola Civic Center on Thursday, April 14th and Friday, April 15th with both games beginning at 7:05 p.m.

Individual game playoff tickets go on sale for the first two home Kelly Cup Playoff this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. Home Game A is Thursday, April 14th and Home Game B is Friday, April 15th. Cost of individual home playoff tickets are $24 for glass seats, $17 for sides seats, $15 for goals and lower upper seats and $12 for upper level seats, plus any applicable convenient charge.

Fans can purchase individual Kelly Cup Playoff tickets in person at the Civic Center box office, at any Ticketmaster location, Charge by Phone at 434-7444 or through the Ice Pilots website at www.icepilots.com. A group of 15 or more can call the Ice Pilots office for group playoff tickets at 432-7825.

The Ice Pilots final home game of the regular season is Saturday, April 9th vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. It is Fan Appreciation Night. All fans attending the game will receive a voucher for a one year free subscription to the Sporting News. Also the Florida Lottery Spin Off Grand Prize will be held for $2,500. The winner of the GEICO Three Stars Award will be presented before the game and if determined by April 9, the winner of the Barnes Ace Hardware Points leader will be announced before the game.

The Ice Pilots will also hold a jersey auction on the Ice Pilots home and away game worn jerseys after the game on Saturday, April 9th vs. Mississippi at 7:05 p.m. Fans who win the jerseys will be able to receive the jerseys once the Kelly Cup Playoffs are over.

Fans who bought Kelly Cup Playoff tickets for all 14 ho! me Ice Pilots playoff games can pick up their playoff tickets at the Ice Pilots office beginning Tuesday, April 5th or at the customer service table behind section 107 at the Ice Pilots last regular season home game vs. Mississippi on April 9th at 7:05 p.m.

The Ice Pilots will hold a Season Ticket Holder Year End Get-Together and Playoff Rally at the Civic Center on Sunday, April 10th from 1 p.m. 3 p.m. Season ticket holders will be able to enjoy a barbecued lunch, free ice skating, locker room tours and fun for all. Complimentary skate rentals will be provided or bring your own skates. The first 500 season ticket holders also receive a free rally rag.
