Chiefs Snap Losing Streak

Johnstown, PA- The Johnstown Chiefs snapped their seven game losing streak Saturday night with a 7-6 shoot out win over the Dayton Bombers in a wild contest. The two teams scored a combined seven goals in the third period.

Brian Collins led the Chiefs with a pair of goals and an assist. Chad Cavanagh , Brent Kelly, Ian Manzano, and P.L. Courchesne also scored for the Chiefs. Dmitri Tarabrin scored the game winning goal in the shootout. Dayton had goals by Tyler Scott, Tyler Sloan, Janne Jokila, JB Bittner, Aaron Foster and Jeff Szwez.

Chiefs goaltender Mark Scally got his first win of the season making 32 saves. Dayton net minder Michael Ayers made 38 saves in the contest.

The Chiefs are now 21-34-14 while the Bombers are now 23-39-6.

The Chiefs are back in action Sunday afternoon when they host the Wheeling Nailers at 3:00 p.m. The next designated sellout night, sponsored by "Your Neighborhood Ford Store," is Saturday, April 9th when the Chiefs host the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies in the last game of the season. It will also be Fan Appreciation day as hundreds of prizes will given away at random to fans throughout the game.
